BD notches win; Whiteford heads into playoffs putting Clinton loss behind them

Britton Deerfield’s Patriots marched against visiting Whitmore Lake Friday night and treated the homefield crowd to a 38-16 win to end the 2015 season.
Whiteford, guaranteed a playoff berth, were defeated 36-18 by Clinton in a TCC league showdown, finishing the regular season 7-2 overall and 5-2 in the TCC. A win would have seen Clinton and Whiteford tie 6-1 for the league title.
Meanwhile, Blissfield led twice against Dundee in Viking Country, but fell 28-16.
Madison traveled to Morenci where the Bulldogs were victorious, 44-0.

Blissfield Police seek suspect who allegedly tried to lure child into vehicle

Police are searching for a person who allegedly attempted to lure a child into their vehicle Friday afternoon
According to a release from the Blissfield Police Department, at approximately 3:30 p.m. a dark-colored sports utility vehicle occupied by two persons, attempted to lure a child to their vehicle. The driver is described as a white male, in his 20s, wearing dark clothing wearing and a hat. There is no description of the passenger at this time.
The child dropped his bike and ran away and notified a neighbor. The vehicle was last seen in the area of Maple and N. Monroe streets in Blissfield. Anyone seeing a vehicle matching this description in the area at that time is asked to call 911.

Madison takes down Whitmore Lake; BD, Hillsdale blanked

The Madison Trojans celebrated a 40-12 victory over Whitmore Lake on the football gridiron Friday night in Tri County Conference action.
Meanwhile, Blissfield fell to LCAA foe Hillsdale 35-0 at home before the Hall of Fame and Senior Night crowd; and Britton Deerfield fell to Sand Creek by a score of 48-0.

Whiteford locks up playoff spot with big win over Bulldogs

When the cats met the dogs Friday night, it was the cats that won this football fight – the Whiteford Bobcats that is, while the Morenci Bulldogs saw their 5-1 season drop to 5-2 as the Bobcats locked in another playoff berth with a 34-6 victory. Whiteford is now 6-1 on the season.
