TOLEDO, Ohio – Elaine A. Ball, 71, of Adrian, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 11, 2014, at Toledo Hospital.
Born in Toledo, Ohio, on September 9, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Helen (Harrington) Ball.
Elaine graduated from Siena Heights College where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree and then went on to the University of Michigan and earned her Master’s in social work.
She worked in various nursing homes as a social worker.
She formerly attended Ogden Church and most recently attended Maple Avenue Bible Church. She enjoyed reading, knitting and visiting with her friends at the Adrian Senior Center, where she will be greatly missed as well as by her Friendship Place family.
Survivors include her children, Kristen Fick (Luke Meyer) of Indianapolis, Ind, Glen (Tanya) Koons of Sterling Heights, Kelly (Damian) Dodge of Palmyra, and Robert (Angie) Koons of Piqua, Ohio; six grandchildren; one great grandchild and her beloved feline companion ‘Handsome George’.
Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, son, Ryan Charles Fick, and her brother, Thomas Ball.
Memorial services for Elaine will be held at a later date.
