Blissfield Schools to seek new sinking fund millage Aug. 6

By Melissa Burnor

Residents of the Blissfield Schools will be asked to vote on a potential new sinking millage fund and will definitely have a new elementary school principal in the district next year.

Citing additional work that needs to be done — especially in the middle school — the district will ask voters at an Aug. 6 special election to approve a 10-year 1.25-mills sinking fund.

This millage will be in addition to an existing 1.75-mill sinking fund granted by voters two years ago. That millage will expire in eight years.
