Harold ‘Bud’ Bohs
Harold “Bud” Bohs, 92, of Blissfield, passed away Saturday, January 3, 2015 at his home.
Bud was born on Nov.14, 1922, in Blissfield, the son of Harold and Ruth (Saxton) Bohs Sr.
He graduated from Blissfield High School in 1940, and served in the US Army in Europe during WWII, participating in the liberation of France and the battle of the bulge.
Bud was married on June 20, 1946, to Frances L. Meyers at the First United Methodist Church in Blissfield.
He worked 46.8 years at Tecumseh Products, retiring in 1985.
Bud was an active member of the Blissfield Athletic Boosters, and enjoyed assisting with the school’s athletic events. Bud also enjoyed cooking and baking cinnamon rolls for his many friends.
Surviving is his wife, Frances L. Bohs of Blissfield; three daughters, Jennifer Bohs of Lexington, MI, Monica Luce of Kalamazoo, MI, and Sheila (Terry) Filter of Blissfield; four grandchildren, Chad Fetzer, Angie Ryan, Nicole Moersch, and Kim Luce; and eight great grandchildren, Kylie Ryan, Abby Ryan, Brayden Fetzer, Brooklyn Fetzer, Abbey Zubke, Drew Moersch, Alivia Moersch, and Tyler Moersch.
Bud was preceded in death by his parents, and brother Frank Bohs.
Bud was very appreciative of his care givers, grandson Chad Fetzer, and special friend Melyssa Greiwahn.
A Memorial Service for Bud will be held Thursday, January 8, at 10 a.m. at the Wagley Funeral Home, Tagsold Chapel in Blissfield, with the Rev. Kristen Parks officiating. Visiting hours will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, January 7, at the funeral home.
