RIGA – Henry P. Fisher, 98, of Riga, passed away on October 29,2013 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Toledo.
He was born March 4, 1915, in Riga, Michigan, the only son of the late Henry W. and Nellie (Welper) Fisher. On April 24, 1938,he was married to June MacBeth and she preceded him in death in 1964. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Carolyn DeWitt.
He is survived by his son, Henry Douglas (Sandra) Fisher of Riga; daughter, Gaynell (Lester) Schonter; grandsons, Scott Fisher of Toledo; Steven Schonter of Colorado and Curtis (Deb) DeWitt of Kansas City, KS; granddaughters, Shawn (Danny) Johnson of Colorado; Christine Fisher of Chicago; Drs. Adriane (Kevin) Latz of Kansas City, KS; and Carrie (Roy) Schonter Cherry of Toledo; and great grandchildren, Erik, Jay, Andrew, Kimberly, Justin, Mia, Truett, Aidan, and Samantha.
The family would like to thank the staff at Hospice of Northwest Ohio and to thank Keith Strozier, Director of Nursing and the assisted living staff at Glendale Assisted Living where Henry had resided for the past year.
