Lois “Kathleen” Sheldon, age 94 of Blissfield, passed away Friday, July 18, 2014, at Lenawee Medical Care Facility. She was born November 6, 1919, in Blissfield, Michigan, the daughter of Edward and Madge (Smith) Brown. Kathleen was a graduate of Blissfield High School. She was married to Arnold Hasenpflug, and he preceded her in death. She later married Seth “Paul” Sheldon, and he also preceded her in death. Kathleen worked at the canning factory for several years and also Carroll’s Eggery. Mostly she enjoyed life on the family farm. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She is survived by step-sons, Doug Hasenpflug, Donald Sheldon, and Barry Sheldon as well as many nieces and nephews including a special niece, Deborah (Robert) Pooley of Blissfield. In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by sisters, Gladys Goetz and Jeanette Ogden; brothers, Lawrence, Harold, Macklin and Edward Brown Jr.; and a step-son, Dean Sheldon. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, July 22, 2014, at Wagley Funeral Home, Tagsold Chapel in Blissfield with Dianna Raine officiating. Visitation was from 1-3 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the Tuesday service. Burial followed at Riga Cemetery.
