By Chad Hutchinson

Whiteford educator Todd Schreiber is no stranger to the stage, but in his 25th year with the district, the spotlight has been cast on Schreiber as the 2013 Teacher of the Year by the Michigan School Vocal Music Association.

A graduate of Bowling Green State University with a bachelor’s degree in music education, and a master’s degree from VanderCook College in Chicago, Schreiber has served as the K-12 vocal music teacher at Whiteford for a quarter century, as well as the MSVMA district 12 co-manager for the past 11 years.

Along with his many accomplishments as an educator and accompanist, Schreiber is also a published author. His book, “Olympic Games for the Music Classroom,” was published by the Shawnee Press in 2008.
