Denise Adams, has been named interim DDA/Main Street Program manager until the village hires a a permanent full-time person for the position that will likely have economic development for the entire village as a primary function.
The Downtown Development Authority Board of which Adams was recently named chairperson of named her as the interim manager Monday morning in a special meeting.
Adams, a volunteer and member of the outreach committee of the organization, will step down from her duties as chairperson while she acts in this capacity. Vice chairperson Barb McHenry is now the acting chairperson.
The move was also announced Monday evening at the village council meeting. Adams also encouraged council to act quickly on formulating a job description for the new director.
