Lenawee County Commission Chairman John Tuckerman (R), Blissfield, said Monday he does not plan on seeking a seventh term as the seventh district commissioner. Tuckerman was first elected in 2002 to the commission and is serving his fourth year as the chairman.
Tuckerman’s term expires Dec. 31. Anyone interested in seeking the seventh district commission seat must submit a completed petition to the Lenawee County Clerk by May 1 to be on the August primary ballot.
