Saturday was a huge day in Whiteford High School athletics.
Track phenom Miranda is the division 4 long-jump champion with a new state record of 18 feet 2.5 inches as well as state champion in 200-meter dash. She was also second in the 100-meter dash.
Olivia Overmann made the podium in the discus throwing 98 feet 7 inches for sixth place.
Whiteford baseball and softball both won their district championships.
The Bobcat men mercied Lutheran South 18-0 to advance to the finals. Britton Deerfield beat Summerfield 8-2 to face the Bobcats. In the end, Whiteford edges BD 1-0 for the district crown.
The Whiteford softball team defeated BD 16-1 for their first district title since 2010.
