Blissfield has hired Chris Owens as varsity baseball coach, school officials announced late Monday afternoon.
Owens has coached the two previous seasons at Evergreen in northwest Ohio. Before that he coached the Whiteford JV team one season.
Owens led the Vikings to their first ever Northwest Ohio Athletic League (NWOAL) title in school history in 2025. He was named NWOAL Coach of the Year in 2025 and also earned District All-Star Coaching Honors in 2025 and 2026. In the summer Coach Owens has coached Evergreen’s Jr/Sr ACME team the past two seasons in an effort to develop players and build his program.
“Blissfield High School is excited to welcome Coach Owens, and we look forward to seeing the positive impact he will have on the baseball program,” said Athletic Director Ryan Bills.
