Audrey M. Brown, 95, of Blissfield, Michigan, passed away Saturday, August 17, 2013 at Aspen Grove Assisted Living in Lambertville, Michigan. She was born April 23, 1918, to Harold and Mabel (Slater) Dings in Riga. She was married to Glenn D. Brown on June 16, 1944. Audrey was a life member of Berkey Congregational Christian Church in Berkey, Ohio. She played piano and organ and taught Sunday school for the church for many years. Audrey was preceded in death by her parents, husband Glenn in 2001 and a sister, Naomi Taylor. She is survived by a son, Leon Brown of Litchfield Park, Arizona; a daughter, Elaine (Jim) Filipek of Blissfield, Michigan; granddaughters, Chanda (Chad) Raine, Janine (Jason) Forche; great grandchildren, Madeline, Myles Forche; step-grandchildren, Connie (Grant) Belsterling of Litchfield Park, Arizona, and Craig Harris Brown of Tennessee. Audrey will reside next to her husband in Ford Cemetery, Berkey, Ohio. DEERFIELD — Carol (Cote) Mueller, age 84, of Deerfield, passed away Monday, August 26, 2013, at the Hospice of Lenawee’s Hospice Home. She was born to the late Sylvanus and Cizerie (Marquis) Cote July 3, 1929, in Beaverville, Ill. Carol was a devoted wife and homemaker and loved spending time with her entire family. She also retired from Simplex Industries in 1992. She married Oliver Mueller at St. Mary Catholic Church on March 31, 1951, in Adrian.  In addition to her husband, Carol is survived by her children, Nancie VanBlack of Deerfield, Steve (Teresa) Mueller of Northport, AL and Bill (Linda) Mueller of Deerfield; two brothers, Sy (Gerry) Cote of Adrian and Joel (Imagene) Cote of Onsted; two sisters, Marilyn Megarah of Lansing and Margaret (Paul) Forsthoefel of Carmel, IN; seven grandchildren, Marcie, Matt (Julie), Molly VanBlack, Michael and Mitchell Mueller, Meagan Skampo and Liz Mueller; five great-grandchildren, Lexie, Rylee, Madelyn, Madden and Maxwell and two on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Leonard, Robert, Merle, Lawrence and James Cote; three sisters, Elaine Hunt, Patricia Witt and Constance Peters. At Carol’s request her body has been donated to the University of Michigan for Anatomical Research. A Memorial Mass for Carol will be held on Wednesday, August 28, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at Light of Christ Parish St. Alphonsus Church in Deerfield with Father Jack Loughran as celebrant. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at Light of Christ Parish St. Alphonsus Church in Deerfield.  Interment will take place at a later date in St. Alphonsus Cemetery. Jann Lyn Peacock Leverenz, age 54, died Monday, November 5, 2012, at the Ohio Northwestern Hospice Center.

She is survived by her husband, John Leverenz of Toledo, her father, Norman (Bud) Peacock, step mother, Edna Peacock of Blissfield; a son Richard of Toledo; her brother, Jeffery, his wife, Tracy and their sons Cody, CJ Peacock of Elyria, Ohio; and John’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Leverenz.

Both Jann and her brother, Jeffery, were adopted from the Methodist Children’s Home.  The first twenty years of their life was parented by Joann Russell (1931-1981) of Kalamazoo, and Norman Peacock.  Both the Russell and the Peacock families were ecstatic over the addition and the children brought the utmost love to their families.

One of Jann’s favorite pastimes when she was young was fishing, always outdoing her father and brother and she loved talking about it.  One of Jann’s greatest gifts was making hundreds of original, specialized and intricate cards for the holidays, birthdays or just for fun to her loved ones.  Her work of handmade drawings of both formal and imaginary scenery is highly revered by her family and close friends.

Upon Jann’s request, cremation has taken place.  Graveside services for Jann Lyn will be held on Saturday,  August 24, 2013, at 2:00 pm at Pleasant View Cemetery in Blissfield, with Pastor Kristen Parks officiating.   Arrangements were handled by Wagley Funeral Home, Tagsold Chapel.  Condolences are welcomed at www.WagleyFuneralHome.com
