League play began Friday, Sept. 11 for local football teams.
Blissfield gave LCAA perennial foes the Hudson Tigers all they could handle. Though the visiting Tigers won 36-26, Blissfield led their guests twice on the evening. It was only at the end that Hudson stretched a two-point lead into a 10-point difference with a touchdown and two-point conversion.
Madison opened TCC league play with Clinton and played head-to-head with an eight-point tie in the second quarter. However, the Redskins went ahead with nine seconds left in the first half, then won 37-21.
Whiteford and Britton Deerfield met in their TCC opener, with the Bobcats devouring the Patriots 60-6.
