Blissfield Twp. adopts new fire department ordinance

A new ordinance that defines the Blissfield Fire Department structure and spells out responsibilities and accountability rules was passed by the Blissfield Township board members at their Sept. 10 meeting.

The ordinance has been something the township has worked on for nearly two years, Blissfield Township supervisor Al Navarro said.

“It establishes policies and procedures, spells out what the duties of the fire chief are and what everyone is responsible for,” Navarro said, including the township itself.
