The Michigan High School Athletic Association announced high school football playoff district matchups Sunday evening. Two area Tri County Conference teams’ records earned them play-off bids.
Whiteford (7-2) will play Sterling Heights Parkway Christian ((5-4) in a home game this coming weekend. The winner of that game will play the winner of the Lenawee Christian ( 7-2) and Detroit Allen (6-2) for the Division 8 district championship.
Britton Deerfield (6-3) will play in a a cross-county affair as they travel to Hudson most likely on Friday night for the first round in a Division 7 matchup. The winner of that game will play the winner of the Melvindale Academy for Business & Technology (5-4) and Detroit Loyola (9-0) game to advance to the regional championship.
