Uckele expands; granted abatement

By Melissa Burnor
Blissfield Village Council members granted two industrial facilities tax abatements to Uckele Health and Nutrition at their Feb. 25 meeting that will add five to eight new jobs at the facility. Mike Uckele said the company is adding onto the building and also investing more than $378,000 into equipment.
The building itself will be a $313,620, 3,600-square-foot addition. Uckele said since he purchased the company in 2005, employment has increased from 25-125.
